Debbie Perelman
A Detroit native, Debbie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from The Ohio State University and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Debbie began her career as a civil litigation attorney in Chicago at the law firm of Leahy, Eisenberg and Fraenkel. She subsequently served as legal and legislative counsel for the Uniform Law Commission in Chicago, where she lobbied and educated legislators in states around the country on laws covering a variety of subjects, most notably, the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act, The Uniform Health Care Decisions Act and The Uniform Commercial Code. Debbie transitioned into a career as a real estate broker as her children became teenagers. After working and raising her family in the northern suburbs of Chicago, she and her husband Jeff relocated to Bainbridge when he accepted a position with the Cleveland Clinic.
Debbie and Jeff have three grown daughters, Julia, Jessica, and Jacqueline. In addition to her current work as a Parenting Coordinator, Debbie is deeply committed to child advocacy, actively volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Geauga County, where she represents children’s best interests in court.
