With a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Florida State University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Youngstown State University, I bring more than 25 years of experience in social services and a deep commitment to supporting children and families.
Throughout my career, I have worked with families experiencing complex and challenging circumstances, including divorce, substance use, mental health concerns, domestic violence, and other family dynamics that can impact the well-being of both children and parents. These experiences have strengthened my ability to understand families from a holistic perspective and to recognize the many factors that influence a child’s development and a parent’s ability to navigate difficult situations.
I especially enjoy working with children from elementary school age through the teen years, as well as with their parents. This work has shown me the importance of creating strong connections between children and the adults who care for them. Parent coaching is a natural extension of my professional experience, providing an opportunity to help parents better understand their children, strengthen communication, navigate challenging behaviors, and build healthier family relationships.
My career goal is to help families access the services, resources, and support they need to heal and create greater stability. I believe meaningful change happens when we support not only the individual child or parent, but the entire family system. Through parent coaching and family-focused services, I hope to empower families with practical tools while also contributing to broader systemic change that makes effective support more accessible to those who need it.
At the heart of my work is the belief that families have strengths, even during their most difficult seasons. My role is to meet families where they are, help them recognize those strengths, connect them with appropriate resources, and support them as they move toward healing, stability, and lasting change.
